The holiday season is both a time of giving – and gratitude. How gratetful are we? Let us count the ways. There’s the exceptional talent of our students and faculty. The intrepid support of our generous donors and volunteers. The willing investment from our neighboring businesses. And how could we possibly leave out the contagious, enthusiastic applause of our Heifetz concert audiences in Staunton and beyond?
Above all, we are grateful to have the good fortune to be working in the realm of music.
Music is one of the most powerful tools available to us to bridge the divides that fracture the modern world. As author Sarah Dessen puts it: Music is the great uniter. An incredible force. Something that people who differ on everything and anything else can have in common.
If you share that sentiment, please remember that the musical experiences we create only happen thanks to your charitable, tax-deductible donations. Large or small, your gift represents your faith in the power of music, and the vision of our Founder and Artistic Director Daniel Heifetz that great classical music played by some of the world’s finest young musicians truly can Communicate – Engage – Inspire.
There are several ways you can help us. Make a donation, either online, by mail, or even in person. Or make a gift of stock or securities (“One of the most tax-efficient ways to give” – Fidelity Investments). In-kind donations of goods and services, sponsorship opportunities and even your everyday purchases – either at our new Gift Shop, or online through Amazon Smile – can also make a significant difference.
