Welcome to our new Saturday feature, where we dip in to our trove of concert performances and music videos shot during our summer programs, as well as out on the road during Heifetz On Tour, to share some favorite musical memories with you.
Today, it’s a blast of Brahms from violinist Rachell Wong, who’s joined by our faculty pianist Andrew Rosenblum, to play the Brahms Hungarian Dance No. 17 in F Minor arranged by Fritz Kreisler. Rachell will be part of a Heifetz On Tour coming back to the Shenandoah Valley for a series of concerts in March, (including our first-ever “Heifetz Spring Hootenanny” at the 1855 American Hotel in downtown Staunton on March 18!) Look for more concert announcements coming soon!
PS – if you like this performance, check out Rachell’s fiery recording of Bernstein’s “West Side Story Suite” on our new 2016 Highlights CD!
