Yes, we’re still glowing over our great summer of music, but by popular demand we’re already looking ahead to #Heifetz2019!
Starting on Tuesday, Sept. 4, you can visit our shop in historic downtown Staunton and pick up a 2019 Season Pass….it guarantees your seat at our 50+ summertime concerts!
The 2019 Summer Institute will kick off with a special Opening Concert & Convocation ceremony on Saturday, June 30th, 2019, and continue nonstop until our Grand Finale and Farewell Feast on Friday, August 9th. In between, there will be four dozen or more concerts, master classes, lectures, special presentations and more, featuring our world-renowned faculty, alumni artists in residence, guest performers, and our amazingly talented Heifetz and HeifetzPEG students.
Your Season Pass guarantees you a seat to all these events, at a savings of more than 50% over the price of individual tickets. Last year’s Season Pass holders got to witness no fewer than 50 performances at a cost of less than $5 per concert.

A) Either in person at our shop at 107 E. Beverley Street in Staunton (9:30 – 5:30 pm M-F; 10 am – 6 pm Saturday; 12 – 5 pm Sunday), or over the phone at (540) 907-4446 during business hours.
At the time of purchase, a Heifetz staffer will personally consult the Francis Auditorium seat map with you to select what will be your seat(s) for all events in Francis Auditorium on the Mary Baldwin University campus, the main venue for the Heifetz Institute’s Festival of Concerts, including our weekday Stars of Tomorrow, Celebrity Series, and Sunday Matinee concerts.

A: Guaranteed Admission to every concert (including any associated receptions/meals) scheduled during our 2019 Festival of Concerts – more than 55 events! Your season pass also guarantees your chosen seat will be held for you for all concerts that take place in our main concert venue of Francis Auditorium, and admission (but not necessarily an assigned seat) to all other Heifetz performance venues, including any out-of-town concerts, as well as the American Shakespeare Center’s Blackfriars Playhouse, the Temple House of Israel, First Presbyterian Church, and Sunspots Pavilion, all located in historic downtown Staunton, Virginia.
EXCEPTIONS: Three house concerts that will be held as scholarship fund raisers during our 2019 summer festival will be ticketed separately.
As always, admission to Heifetz on Tour concerts in the fall, winter (Heifetz Holiday Homecoming), and spring is not covered by your summer season pass.
Q: Will you be taking the Sunday Matinees on the road again in 2019?
A: We are still in the planning phase, but can announce with confidence that at minimum, all but two of the 2019 Sunday Matinees will be held in Francis Auditorium. Matinees in Staunton will be scheduled for Sundays at 3 p.m.
Q: Where will you hold the Grand Finale and Farewell Feast?
A: The concert will take place in Francis Auditorium, and the feast will be under the Heifetz Tent on Grafton Terrace at MBU (weather permitting – rain location is Hunt Dining Hall.)
Q: I donated a seat or seats during the Take Your Seat Campaign in Francis Auditorium, but would like to choose a different seat/seats to use with my season passe(s). Is that possible?
Q: Do you plan to make any significant changes to your festival concert schedule?
A: No. Any changes we have in mind will not affect the number of events (in Staunton) you’re entitled to attend with your season pass. But stay tuned for some exciting news about the 2019 summer, including the announcement of our new Artistic Director!
