“Beethoven’s output tends to lumped into ‘Early, Middle, and Late’ periods. To me, the Early period sounds like flesh; the Middle period is blood, and the Late period is soul. This trio is blood…vital and energetic.”
– Heifetz 2019 student Cheng Allen Liang
Here’s another terrific performance from #Heifetz2019 featuring a couple of alums currently delighting audiences on our Heifetz “Fall Colors” tour of Northern New England: Violinist Yebin Yoo, and pianist Jingxuan Zhang. Yebin, Jing, and cellist Allen Liang, all students in the vaunted Ashkenasi/Kirsbhaum Chamber Music Seminar, dubbed the “Monet Trio,” and offered up a Beethoven piano trio written in between the composer’s landmark Fifth and Six Symphonies. Enjoy!
