Ari has recently won Second Place on the 2018 Young Artist Achievement Award competition, hold by The National Chamber Ensemble. In 2017, Ari was the first place winner of Youth Orchestra of Central Virginia string competition and received accolades by earning an honorable mention at the Richmond Symphony Orchestra Leagueʼs student concerto competition. In 2016, Ari was the state winner of the James A. Bland competition, sponsored by the Lions Club of Virginia, and was featured soloist with the Tidewater Intergenerational Orchestra conducted by Paul Linsey in Williamsburg, Virginia during their annual Tribute to Youth Stars of Tomorrow concert.
Ari Han is a 7th grade student at Thomas Harrison middle school in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He began studying violin in the Eastern Mennonite University Suzuki program, and he is currently a student of Dr. Wanchi Huang, Professor of violin at James Madison University. In addition to playing violin he also likes to play piano and has won a couple of district VMTA competitions. In his free time he likes to play sports and play with his baby brother, but his his true passion is performing music on stage.
