Heifetz on Tour I – Midsummer Dreams & Afternoon Delights

Join us to revisit the gala celebration of the youthful masterpieces and profound mature works by child prodigy, virtuoso pianist, and supremely gifted composer Felix Mendelssohn, whose Overture to A Midsummer Night’s Dream – written when he was just 17 – has been called “the greatest marvel of early maturity that the world has ever seen in music.” See Mendelssohn’s exquisite compositions brought to life in this May 2019 concert from Abramson Recital Hall in the Katzen Arts Center – American University.
