Heifetz on Tour

The Heifetz Program of National Outreach & Career Development

Beyond its world-renowned summer program on the campus of Mary Baldwin University, the Heifetz Institute offers a signature Heifetz on Tour program designed to offer real-world performance and outreach opportunities for promising young alumni.  The touring program covers not only our home region in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, but ranges from Maine to Florida to California through our collaborations with partner institutions eager to showcase the talents of our Heifetz students and alumni.

Each round of Heifetz on Tour takes a small group of alumni on a week-long journey to perform and educate in a variety of venues:  Schools in underserved communities, assisted living facilities, museums, community centers, radio studios, town halls, house concerts, and public arenas.  Frequent partner institutions include The Kreeger Museum of Art (Washington, DC), Wolfeboro Friends of Music (Wolfeboro, NH), and the Jamestown Arts Center (Jamestown, RI).

If you or your organization would like to host a Heifetz on Tour residency, masterclass, workshop or performance, please email us at office@heifetzinstitute.org.
