Pianist Ta-Wei Tsai serves as the Collaborative Piano Coordinator for the Institute’s inaugural HeifetzPEG program. maintains a well-balanced performance schedule as a soloist, chamber musician and collaborator. A frequent guest of various concert venues Mr. Tsai has made repeated appearances with Baltimore’s Evolution Contemporary Music Series—performing works by John Luther Adams under the composer’s guidance—and chamber music performances at the Sarasota Music Festival, Garth Newel Music Center, and most recently as a collaborative pianist with the U.S. Army Field Band at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Kennedy Center. Mr. Tsai currently serves as a piano faculty at the Levine School of Music in Washington D.C. He received his musical training in both the U.S. and Taiwan, and is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory.
