American-Israeli pianist Yael Weiss has appeared internationally in major venues as recitalist, soloist with orchestras, and as pianist of the Weiss-Kaplan-Stumpf trio. Her discography includes works by more than a dozen composers, recorded for the Koch and Bridge labels. She is winner of the Naumburg and the Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin competitions, and a regular participant at the Marlboro, Caramoor and Ravinia festivals. Ms. Weiss presents masterclasses worldwide and has served on the faculties of Indiana University and UCSB. Her current projects include performances of the complete cycle of Beethoven’s 32 Piano Sonatas as well as commissioning a wide variety of new works. She is host of the “Classical Minutes” podcasts on iTunes.
